This project consisted of a 30,000 SF, two story addition with basement to the existing building. The addition contained classrooms, multipurpose room, kitchen, and stage.
The project was to provide handicapped accessibility to all areas of the church. The main feature was the construction of a bell tower, which housed a two door hydraulic elevator serving four different levels. Other work included interior remodeling to provide access to the elevator. The tower was a reinforced masonry structure clad with brick and EIFS. The EIFS was a cost saving measure to match the existing Indiana Limestone on the main building.
To renovate the façade of the Convention Center including the construction of a new entry plaza and rotunda. The plaza was a patterned concrete slab on grade. The centerpiece of the plaza was a 60ft. high rotunda with diameters of 50 ft. at the ground level and 60 ft. at the top. Eight vertical, outward leaning trusses supported rings of 3 ½ inch diameter pipe from which hung curtains of stainless steel flexible metal fabric. Renovations to the existing building façade required the restoration and replacement of polished granite cladding and the addition of exterior lighting.
The purpose of this project was to provide expanded Physical Fitness Facilities to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base personnel, including exercise equipment rooms, showers, locker rooms, classrooms, activities rooms, cooking demonstration area, (2) basketball courts, (2) racquetball courts, running track, child care area, and juice bar. In addition, a new Health & Wellness Center (HAWC) was also designed to be located in this facility.
The renovation of the Montgomery County Common Pleas Court Building included demolition, asbestos removal, installation of new mechanical and electrical systems and installation of new interior architectural features throughout all six stories. The building was kept in operation during the eight phases of construction (with several sub phases) with a total of 120,000 square feet of space renovated. Included in the renovation were construction of new courtrooms and the refurbishment of existing courtrooms. Renovation of office space, Judge’s chambers, Jury rooms, conference areas, an evidence room and the law library were also included in the scope of work. Approximately half of the area renovated included complete demolition and replacement of existing architectural, mechanical and electrical features.
This is a 4300 person capacity amphitheater with a stage, utility and storage rooms, paved and stepped seating areas, a lawn, and a terrace. The structure is reinforced concrete up to the stage and then structural steel with long span steel trusses supporting the roof across the stage. Cladding is predominantly architectural precast concrete with some metal siding. Exterior work includes extensive decorative cast in place concrete walls with a fractured fin finish, concrete walks, curbs, ramps, pavers and an asphalt parking area. A separate building houses the ticket office and restrooms.
